Your Internal Compass:
Nervous System Regulation for Sustainable Living
Experiential workshop with Sarsha Hope and Dr Tonya Cruikshank
Saturday 6th September 10am-4.30pm
—
In person at St Peters Anglican Church, Remarkables Park, Queenstown
Before you can lead anyone else, you must learn to lead yourself. This workshop focuses on the most important leadership role you'll ever have — stewarding your own nervous system, energy, and wellbeing.
Many of us carry chronic stress patterns that operate completely below our conscious awareness — subtle tensions, hypervigilance, or protective patterns that once served us but now keep us trapped in cycles of depletion. Discover how these unconscious stress responses create the perfect storm for burnout and hormonal imbalance.
Learn to recognize the early warning signs your body sends before exhaustion takes over, and develop the internal awareness to course-correct before hitting the wall. We’ll explore “parts language” — getting to know the different aspects of yourself that show up under stress, each with their own protective strategies and wisdom.
Through somatic movement and embodied practices, explore how different life domains — work pressures, family dynamics, community responsibilities — activate specific parts of you with unique stress responses. Understand why anger might actually be your ally, and practice moving from freeze and overwhelm into grounded, empowered action.
This isn’t about managing others — it’s about mastering the art of self-leadership through nervous system wisdom and parts awareness.
What You’ll Have By The End of This Workshop:
Practical tools to regulate your nervous system and sustain your energy daily
A deeper understanding of your unique stress patterns and how to work with them
Embodied practices to move from overwhelm to grounded presence
Insight into your internal “parts” and how to access their wisdom
Confidence to navigate stress and prevent burnout with awareness and compassion
What to Expect:
A supportive, experiential environment with hands-on somatic movement
Gentle guidance blending science and somatic wisdom
Opportunities for self-reflection and group connection
Tools and practices you can easily integrate into your life for lasting wellbeing

Sarsha Hope
Sarsha Marie Hope — Founder of Somatic Dance International & The Temple of Living Codes
Sarsha is the visionary founder of Somatic Dance International — a pioneering global training program launched in 2019 that integrates somatic facilitation, ritual, DJing, and eco-somatics into potent, trauma-informed dance containers. Through this work, she trains leading-edge facilitators and DJs who carry the medicine of embodied movement worldwide.
She is also the founder and transmitter of The Temple of Living Codes — an online and in-person sanctuary dedicated to embodying and reclaiming ancient feminine wisdom through ritual, dance, Goddess study, and initiatory immersion. This sacred temple invites women to step into their deepest power, reclaim lost rites of passage, and activate their fullest expression through the feminine current.
Rooted in over 25 years of facilitation experience and 40 years of embodied movement, Sarsha is a magnetic permission-giver, a thoughtful provocateur, and a priestess who holds space for transformation with fierce love, clarity, and grounded grace. Her lifelong devotion to the intelligence of the body fuels her international trainings, retreats, and offerings — igniting temple spaces where souls awaken, bodies remember, and radiant lives unfold.

Dr Tonya Cruikshank
Dr Tonya Cruikshank brings 30 years of medical expertise with mind-body approaches to health and wellbeing. Drawing from experience across four countries and diverse medical fields, she recognized that much of healthcare treats symptoms—not the root causes of why people aren't flourishing.
Her approach centers on the nervous system as the bridge between mind and body, uncovering what's really behind physical symptoms, chronic stress responses, and blocks to thriving. Through personalized assessments that can include nervous system function, gut health, and immune response, she creates practical pathways to sustainable wellbeing and natural regulation.
Her recent training as a somatic dance facilitator deepened her understanding of how free movement supports embodiment and fluency, adding another dimension to her work with nervous system healing and integration.
The results go beyond managing stress: enhanced energy, emotional fluency, and the self-awareness that becomes the foundation for living with greater ease and flow. She believes that when we understand our own nervous system patterns and learn to work with them rather than against them, we naturally find our way back to the thriving that is our birthright. She loves witnessing and supporting the deepening that happens in in-person workshops, where nervous system regulation can be experienced in real-time through community and embodied practice.
Knowing ourselves—especially how we respond and regulate—is how we create the conditions where health, relationships, and purpose can flourish effortlessly.
